Description
Mepilex® Transfer Ag is an antimicrobial exudate transfer layer designed to move exudate to a secondary dressing. It is suitable for managing exuding burns, as well as chronic and acute wounds.
The antimicrobial action helps reduce bioburden in the wound. Mepilex Transfer Ag has been shown to neutralize relevant pathogens, including bacteria and fungi, within 30 minutes, with effects lasting up to 14 days, as demonstrated in vitro. According to international guidelines, antimicrobial action is recommended to reduce bioburden in infected wounds and to act as a barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or re-infection.
The dressing features Safetac®, the original pain-reducing contact layer with silicone adhesion, which ensures less pain during dressing changes for your patients.
