Mepilex® Heel Ag Antimicrobial Foam Dressing is designed for low- to medium-exuding wounds on the foot and heel, offering antimicrobial protection to help reduce bioburden in the wound.
Mepilex Heel Ag has been shown to effectively neutralize bacteria and fungi within 30 minutes, based on in vitro studies. According to international guidelines, antimicrobial action is recommended to reduce bioburden in infected wounds and to act as a barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or re-infection.
The dressing features Safetac® technology, the original pain-reducing contact layer with silicone adhesion. This ensures that patients experience less discomfort during dressing changes.
